What originally started as a side-gig in college turned into a business whirlwind. Originally, I had purchased a camera to take landscape photos and pictures of Josie when we went to watch the sunrise. Being competitive, I set a goal to make my money back that I had spent on my camera, and started doing photoshoots for couples and video work for our school. After being approached by an Admissions Counselor (shoutout to you, Chelsea!) about filming her wedding, I was hooked. Weddings turned into a full-time hustle, and it’s safe to say I have paid for my camera that I bought back in 2017:)
Besides weddings, I have many hobbies, but my favorites are golf and traveling. If you ever want to get out on the course with us before your wedding, let’s just say you’re speaking my language! On the traveling side, we love to see the different landscapes this country and world has to offer. The best part is that Josie and I get to experience it all together, and sometimes even through our line of work. Speaking of Josie…
MEET JOSIE THE VIDEOGRAPHER!
Josie is my partner in both life and business! After seeing how much I loved photographing weddings, she decided to give her creative side a little freedom, too. Today, she’s my right-hand woman, capturing the sounds and movement of a wedding day. Through video, you can truly re-enter the moment as you lived it. You can hear the tone of voice when your husband says “I do” and the sound of your friends sing-shouting with you to Luke Combs on the dancefloor. You can see the way the sun glittered in your hair as you walked down the aisle and the waves crashing in the background of your seaside ceremony. These are things photography just can’t capture, and Josie fell in love with the way she can preserve them for our couples.
Josie shares many of the same hobbies, but one of the traits I admire about her most is how hard she works. We are in the process of renovating a mid-1800’s farm house, and let me tell you, she is not afraid of getting her hands dirty and getting to work. I am so blessed to have someone like her to share my life with.
